ROLE DEFINITION: Business Development Placement
KEY RESULT FOR PLACEMENT STUDENT: To develop a comprehensive set of Business skills which will be the stepping stones to a successful career. Gaining experience and ability to understand, problem solve, work in teams and communicate across a number of different business areas such as Business Development, Marketing, Human Resources and Accounting. This placement opportunity aims to put the theory of your course into practice within our business environment.
It is expected that the Business Development Placement will job shadow Business Development, HR, Sales, Marketing and Accounting tasks as well as being involved in the successful delivery of numerous projects.
Examples of placement projects:
Research for Tender and parking enforcement opportunities
Sales funnel analysis
Site visits to prepare proposals
Review Tariff and Season Ticket Price list
Customer feedback survey
Promotions and outbound sale enquiries
The Business Development Placement Student will be expected to undertake other tasks and duties within competence and within reason in order to meet fluctuation or priorities in work demands.
An undergraduate currently seeking a 12-month business placement from July 2017.
Degree discipline can be in any subject area, attitude is more important.
Numeracy and analytical skills are a must; you'll be comfortable undertaking research, compiling findings and writing papers.
Present ideas and take part in discussions with colleagues, be articulate and organised
Work equally well in a team as well as on your own initiative. Partnering with the business you'll be skilled at building relationships, making networks, collaborating as required.
Experience working in an office environment.
